Math Club’s Crazy 8s is in full swing at Jefferson! ✨📚

Thanks to the Enrichment Grant, Mrs. Espinoza has been able to bring a fun, hands-on math experience to our students—one that goes beyond the classroom and sparks excitement for learning.

Dear Tiger Family,

As you know, demolition at AHS began this week, and we have already made significant progress. Five of the ten initially affected classrooms have been demoed, and crews will refuel generators on Sunday to resume work on Monday.

We are also continuing disinfection efforts on desks, chairs, and other classroom materials to help ensure a safe environment moving forward. At this time, the southeast quadrant of the building will remain closed while this work continues.

Unfortunately, we experienced a setback with another break in the geothermal system. This issue occurred in the northwest quadrant of the building, on the opposite side from previous concerns, and has resulted in over half of our AC units being inoperable. As of 4:00 PM today, 33 units are down. Fortunately, the issue was identified quickly, minimizing damage, and repairs are scheduled to begin next week.

On a positive note, recent air quality testing indicates acceptable air quality throughout the building.

Ardmore City Schools is actively working on a return to learning plan to safely bring students back to campus. This includes preparing classrooms and maintaining a safe environment while construction continues.

Please note the following important updates:

➡️ AHS students and staff will remain virtual next week (March 30-April 2).
➡️ The Ardmore High School front office will reopen on Monday, March 30, 2026. This area is on a separate system, allowing staff to safely serve families and the public.

We appreciate your patience and support as we work through these repairs and prepare for students to return safely. If any changes occur, we will keep you informed. We will provide another update with next steps on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, by 5:00 PM.

Dear Tiger Family,

We want to keep you informed as we continue working through the current situation at Ardmore High School.

The AHS front office will remain closed until further notice. If you need assistance, please contact the Administration office. Air quality testing is ongoing in multiple areas of the building and will continue through tomorrow.

Today, demolition work began, including the removal of carpentry, walls, and sheetrock. At the same time, disinfection efforts are underway for materials such as desks and chairs. The southeast quadrant of the building is currently closed off while this work continues.

While students are learning virtually, meals will still be available in the AHS Cafeteria. Breakfast will be served from 7:30–8:30 AM and lunch from 11:30 AM–12:30 PM. Meals must be eaten on site, and transportation is not provided.

We are incredibly proud of our hardworking staff and operations team, who are putting in long hours to ensure this process moves forward safely and efficiently. We are also grateful for the companies partnering with us to help make this turnaround as quick as possible.

We look forward to welcoming our students back on campus as soon as it is safe to do so. We will provide another update by Friday at 5:00 PM with plans for next week and next steps.

✨Jefferson Stu-Co is making a big impact✨

Despite an unexpected snow break, Jefferson students showed up in a big way—collecting an incredible 490 pounds of food for the Food and Resource Center of Oklahoma to support local families.

Last month, Stu-Co members also spent time volunteering at the food bank, helping clean, stock shelves, and sort donations.

We’re so proud of these students for their heart to serve and commitment to their community!!

If there are any high school students in need of breakfast or lunch, we are now approved by OSDE to serve meals at Ardmore High School (AHS).
